四百年の歴史を持ち、日本の伝統的工芸品にも数えられる「土佐打刃物」。
鍛冶黒-KAJIKURO-は、そんな匠の技が躍動する鍛冶場から生まれました。長年、刃物鍛冶の課題として横たわっていた産業廃棄物の研ぎ粉。
GradationDesignは、この研ぎ粉を有効活用することで、伝統の現場から排出される産業廃棄物を削減し、地球環境に配慮した循環型のモノづくりを目指しました。

"Tosa Forged Blades" has a history of 400 years and is counted as one of Japan's traditional crafts.
KAJIKURO was born in a forge where such master craftsmen's skills are at work. For many years, sharpening powder, an industrial waste product, has been an issue for cutlery smiths.
GradationDesign aims to reduce industrial waste from traditional forges by effectively utilizing this sharpening powder, thereby creating a recycling-oriented manufacturing process that takes the global environment into consideration.

特殊左官材
鍛冶黒塗り
歴史と伝統の重厚感を纏う " 移ろう意匠 "
鍛冶場の産廃研ぎ粉には、刃物（金属）と砥石の削りカスが混在しており、処理が困難な産業廃棄物です。GradationDesignでは、この産廃研ぎ粉を再活用し、特殊な左官材を開発しました。
鍛冶場の産廃から生み出されたそれは、土塊感のある野生味と、重厚感のある佇まいが特徴です。
さらに、中に含まれる鉄が酸化することで、時を経るごとに左官表面の表情が変化するという特性を持っています。このことを以って、我々は鍛冶黒塗りを "移ろう意匠" と呼んでいます。
また、鉄等の金属と硬い砥石を内包する性質上、非常に堅牢な左官材に仕上げることが出来ました。鍛冶黒塗りは、単なる産業廃棄物の再利用という枠を超えて、唯一無二の魅力を放つ左官材です。
まさに、意匠性と機能性を兼ね備えた逸品といえます。
GradationDesign has developed a special plastering material by reusing the sharpening powder from blacksmith shops, which is a difficult industrial waste to dispose of.The material, created from the industrial waste of blacksmithing, is characterized by its wild, earthy, clod-like taste and massive appearance.
Furthermore, it has the property of changing the appearance of the plastered surface over time as the iron contained within it oxidizes. For this reason, we call KAJIKURO "Shifting Design".
In addition, the nature of the plastering material, which contains iron and other metals and a hard whetstone, makes it an extremely robust plastering material. KAJIKURO is a unique plastering material that radiates a unique design that goes beyond the mere reuse of industrial waste. It is truly a gem that combines design and functionality.

鍛冶黒塗りには、1㎡当たり1kgの産廃研ぎ粉を含有可能です。産業廃棄物の再利用と廃棄物削減による地球環境への負荷軽減に寄与します。
KAJIKURO can contain 1 kg of industrial waste sharpening powder per square meter. It contributes to the reuse of industrial waste and reduction of the burden on the global environment through waste reduction.
